I was born in Sarzana, in Liguria, and grew up in an ancient garden overlooking the city walls. Much of my childhood unfolded beneath the oldest and most fragrant magnolia tree, among games, reverie, and my earliest fragrant experiments. It was there that I first learned to love flowers and plants, and to recognize, even as a child, nature’s hidden force.

Later on, I lived in Valle d’Aosta, among people who possessed a deep knowledge of plants and of the virtues they hold. From them, I inherited an ancient understanding, shaped by observation, respect, and silence.

It was during that period that I studied composition in Grasse. That training gave me rigor and method, but above all it helped me gather and shape what I had until then perceived intuitively, revealing with greater clarity the direction of my work and of my life.
