Aqua Forte is the first Eau de Cologne by Maria Candida Gentile.
It was created as an homage to one of the great traditions of perfumery: the Eau de Cologne, a luminous and refined scented water whose origins date back to the eighteenth century.
At that time, Giovanni Maria Farina, an Italian from Piedmont who settled in Cologne, created a new idea of fragrance: fresh, citrusy and transparent, in contrast with the opulence of the perfumes of his time.
